Award Distinguished Conduct Medal, 22nd October 1917. For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. When his platoon officer had been wounded whilst trying to cross exposed ground, Private Wilson left his sheltered position and with the assistance of a comrade, brought the wounded officer under cover, setting a splendid example of devotion and complete disregard of personal safety.

Joined 8th April 1912. Joined Egyptian Expeditionary Force 1st June 1915.
