Brother of Corporal Angus MacInnes and Private John MacInnes. Sons of Hugh and Annie MacInnes. Hugh MacInnes worked for the Clyde Port Authorities. Three 'missing' telegrams' arrived on the same day. Shipwright with Russell & Co., Port Glasgow.

Survived charge on July 12th 1915 but went back onto the field for his brother and was wounded in the shoulder. Transferred to Manchester General Hospital.
