Son of John and Jean Napier Bell, 55 Fyfe Park Terrace, Port Glasgow. Worked as a baker. His widow left for the USA and was awarded 13/9 per week. His two sisters enquired as to how he died. Brothers John and James

Was transferred to the 1/7th A & SH 1916 after joining 19th Inf Base Depot Etaples 23/12/16. Suffered shell gas wound 17/5/18.
