Father was Provost Adams. Address given as 1 Torridon Street. Was a Boat builder with Messrs.. James Adams & Son, Gourock. Took over the business with his brother John. He died in 1954. 

Transferred to Edinburgh hospital. 1st served 1st June 1915. Was severely wounded at Gallipoli. When recovered he took charge of the auxiliary trawlers Tyne and Larne.
