Archibald McEwen

Lived 24 Binnie Street. His name is spelt McEwen in notices. St Ninians RC has an Archibald McEwan noted. I think it is likely that this is the same person.

Friend of William Docherty. After 12/07/1915 they took it in turns to rest in the dug-outs for safety.

Wounded 12th July 1915. Admitted to hospital Dardanelles 13/9/15. With British Expeditionary Force 19th April 1918 to 16th June 1918. On home leave from 17th June 1918 until 29th June 1918. 

Stated that he was buried at isolated grave, garden of presbytery at church 12 miles SSW of ???
