SON OF THE REV. CHARLES ALLAN, M.A., AND MARGARET ALLAN, OF DUNEIRA, GREENOCK. 93 Newton St., Greenock. A MEDICAL STUDENT. Enlisted Glasgow resided in Greenock

Attested 12/11/14 Killed in action at Richebourg. Mentioned in Despatches for going to the help of wounded comrades and said by his own comrades to have earned the VC half a dozen times over.
