Hugh Warnock

SON OF MR. John and Catherine Warnock, of 56 Wellington Street, Greenock. He had three brothers Dugald(17), Thomas(11) James(3) and 5 sisters Catherine(16), Jane(14), Lissie(9), Emily(7) and Ellen(4). Employed at the Glebe Sugar Refining Company

Attested October 1915 at the Drill Hall, Greenock.  Disembarked at Alexandria on 3/5/1916 and served throughout the Palestine Campaign before moving to the Western Front in April 1918. Killed in action. Body was exhumed and reburied at Raperie 6 miles SE of Soissons.
