Apprentice Joiner with Kirkwood. SON OF MR. AND MRS. J. LIGHTBODY, 37, RUE-END Street, GREENOCK.

Was part of the 2/5th Argylls and had gone to Hawick. He was discharged here as medically unfit due to tuberculosis 23/4/1915. After his death his sister wrote asking if any moneys were due. It was declared that his death was a result of war service on account of not having proper uniform and being under canvas and on guard duty.

Buried at Greenock Cemetery. Grave Reference MMM. 217.
