John McGill

Glasgow Herald 17th April 1915: "A post-card has been received in Greenock intimating that Private John McGill, A Company 1st H.L.I. Indian Forces, was killed at the Neuve Chapelle engagement. McGill, who was 25 years of age, was six weeks only in Greenock, and was engaged as a porter at Prince's Pier Station. It is understood that he belonged to Glasgow, where two sisters reside."
