Enlisted 24/2/1910 Attended 2 weeks annual training camps - Largs 7/7/1910, Woodhead 6/7/1911, Monzie 4/7/1912, and camp 2/7/1914. Re-engaged 23/3/1914 Gunshot wound left side 12/7/1915 Dysentry 15/10/1915 invalided to England. Discharged at Ripon South Camp 23/12/1916 Granddaughter says that his side wound never healed and caused his death shortly after end of war
